In 1 day, the painter will paint 6/6ths of a room, or 1 room.  So, in 8 days, the painter will paint 8 rooms.  For this reason, Coley's estimate is reasonable.

Yes (assuming it doesn't count nighttime in a full day) because since they painted a sixth of a room in a sixth of a day, that means they could paint a full room in a day, and therefore 8 rooms in 8 days.

The answer is yes, Coley's estimate is reasonable.
