The people who initially brought Spanish to the New World were Spanish explorers and settlers. When the Spanish started travelling around the world, they were one of the first nations ever to reach the New World, or the Americas. When they explored this New World, they obviously brought their language and culture along with them, and the more people started living there, the more widespread their language became.
